DAEDALUS IN MOURNING, ANGELS PRAYERS...Daedalus, a clever inventor, architect and sculptor, well known for creating the famed labyrinth for King Minos which housed the fierce Minotaur ...betrayed King Minos who ordered he and his son Icarus to be locked into the labyrinth. To escape their fate, Daedalus fashioned wings of wax and feathers to fly over King Minos' ships to safety. Sadly, young Icarus flew too close to the sun, melting his wings, falling into the sea drowning.
DAEDALUS, as he prays for his son, head bowed, his carved face appearing beneath his folded arms, exhausted wings draped upon his back, his heart fallen to the depths of his soul depicted in a large rose quartz fallen to his feet, becomes an Angel praying for the fate of us all.
