HERMES.... the Greek mythological figure also known as the Olympian God, Mercury, son of Zeus, jumped from his birthing cradle to play a joke on Apollo. With Zeus laughing, Hermes apologized by giving Apollo a lute he created. Apollo later gave Hermes a gift of the powerful enchanted Caduceus. Known for amusing himself, Hermes is the quick, cunning Messenger God of the Olympian Gods moving between worlds with limitless ease, and although very playful by nature, taking his duties seriously. Hermes is also known to guide souls to the afterlife, protecting athletes, travellers, patrons of trades, negotiations, elegance, even thieves and trickery. Knowing no boundaries himself, Hermes often created boundaries for others to honour. Hermes, the Olympian Messenger God, cloaked in the winds that carried him between worlds of Olympian Gods and mortals alike carries his powerful enchanted Caduceus, a symbol of peace in his left hand as he points to the Heavens with his right.
